JOSHUA BURNS
LPC, NCC
Joshua is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arkansas as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. He graduated with honors from Denver Seminary where he received his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Josh received his bachelor’s degree from John Brown University and graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Family & Human Services and Child & Family Studies.
Josh has experience working with adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples in private practice, school-based counseling, community mental health, non-profit, and ministry settings. He has received training in EFT (Emotional Focused Therapy), Prepare & Enrich, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and the CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) model.
Josh desires to foster a safe space for people to process and navigate the broken parts of their stories, their behaviors, and their relationships. Being able to provide hope to clients as they journey toward healing is what fuels Josh’s passion for counseling. One of the ways he accomplishes that is by sitting with clients in the beauty, the muck, and the mire of their lives while helping them sort through the beliefs they have about themselves, others, and the world.
Josh is married and has two children. He and his beloved bride are originally from the Midwest but are enjoying raising their daughters here in Northwest Arkansas. Josh enjoys good stories; from those in the fantasy novels he reads, to the movies he enjoys with his wife, to sitting around the table with a group of friends playing tabletop RPGs and other games.
